THE MENTOR
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. And if you find you struggle to go at all, get a mentor." (African Proverb+Solu)
If you've seen my social media then you may know that, yes, I have an MBA, got an undegrad degree in International Leadership and have worked in both corporate and creative spaces for nearly 15 years. But over time I've come to realize that the real value and insight I have gained has not solely been from the my traditional studies or occupation, but from the people that I have come to know within and without them. The better part of my corporate experience has involved mentorship and the use of assessments like the Enneagram, DISC, and Strengthsfinders to lead my teams and to increase the possibilities for both myself and those around me. This is the basis of my coaching and mentorship work. Real life application, not just talk therapy, but practical wisdom and knowledge that spans various frameworks and areas of life.
Because I believe in transparency, I want to state clearly that I am not licensed therapist. I view my role as a mentor and coach to be someone who has done and continues to do the work with myself so that I can offer tools and pattern recognition/interruption to get my clients and community to see and move beyond their own roadblocks. I have done the work to address the following areas of struggle in my own life:
- Not knowing my purpose
- Fear of being seen/known
- Deconstructing from parental religious teaching/worldviews
- Maintaining a healthy marital relationship
- Late diagnosed ADHD (predominately unmedicated)
- Toxic Family Dynamics
- Clinical Depression and Anxiety
- Matrescence/Motherhood/PPD
- People Pleasing/Masking
- Corporate Burnout
- Creative Identity/Burnout
- Friendship Dynamics
If you want some one who has actually “gone thru the fire” then this is the right place for you!

THE MUSE
"We are multifaceted beings."
Solu is a singer-songwriter-producer-composer-model-actress whose sound and likeness flows from a myriad of influences. As a third culture kid born to Nigerian immigrants yet raised in the US, she considers a lifetime in which she seldom saw herself in her surroundings and perpetual feelings of “other-ness” to be the source of her greatest challenges and inspirations. Her music blends earthy vocals with rhythmic moody synths and percussive grooves, at times giving lyrical nods to her Nigerian heritage. Eclectic by nature, her music manages to meld afro-American, cinematic, and alternative indie elements into a uniquely curated sonic experience.
Solu’s debut studio release, Desert Breeze, was released July 2019, on what she describes as “a whim” as she produced, recorded, mixed and mastered it all in one night. The decision to release it came as an effort to combat what she refers to as her struggle with “over-thinking paralysis.” Even on a whim, Desert Breeze still managed to garner attention from local media and radio outlets such as 101.5 Live and Spotify indie artist playlist, The Roosevelt Tape. Other accolades include her contributions towards award-winning film, SOULS, directed by Malakai, starring actress Tabitha Brown, and executive produced by Emmy Award Winning Producer, Anna Hashmi. Solu was brought on as one of the film’s composers, garnering an award for Best Score at a regional film festival. As a performer, she has done numerous live shows, most notably opening for international Afro-pop superstar, Kizz Daniel.
